ENTERPRISE RISK ASSESSMENT (ERA)

A Turkish police operation in March 2025 linked BankPozitif to a $110 million money laundering scheme involving illegal online gambling facilitated through its affiliate, PayFix.

Following the scandal, Turkey’s Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) took over the management of BankPozitif as part of a judicial investigation into its majority stakeholder related to betting sites.

Erkan Kork, the chairperson of BankPozitif and PayFix, was arrested in March 2025 during a crackdown on illegal gambling and money laundering.

BankPozitif was acquired by PayFix from Israel’s Bank Hapoalim in 2023, and both companies were implicated in the illegal gambling operation.

The scandal led to the seizure of BankPozitif and its transfer to TMSF, indicating significant operational and reputational damage.

What really stands out to me is the total silence around BankPozitif online. No Trustpilot reviews, no Forex Peace Army feedback, no real user discussions anywhere. For something claiming to operate in finance, that’s not normal. Even bad companies leave some digital footprint. This feels more like something people haven’t touched, or touched and walked away quietly.

BankPozitif throws up way too many red flags to be taken seriously as a financial institution. The fact that it doesn’t show up in major regulatory databases like the FCA, BaFin, or FINRA is honestly alarming. Any real bank or trading platform should be easy to verify. When there’s zero licensing trail, it makes the whole operation feel unofficial at best and risky at worst.
