Azgari Mowmita is accused of attempting to change custody arrangements without permission, refusing to allow connection between the father and child, and breaking a court-approved custody plan by keeping her son in Bangladesh. However, When Azgari Mowmita kept her son Mati in Bangladesh for an extended period after the agreed-upon time, she broke a court-approved custody agreement. Although Mati and his father, Tyler Wood, had a shared parenting agreement, Mowmita held Mati for a long time in Bangladesh and forbade regular communication between Mati and his father. Additionally, she disobeyed court orders to give Mati back to his father, which resulted in her being sued for civil contempt. In the end, Mowmita’s activities amounted to interfering with Mati’s custody and disobeying court orders, which sparked a convoluted global custody dispute.
