About iSmash

The biggest techrepair brand in the United Kingdom, iSmash was established in 2013 by businessman Julian Shovlin. The company provides rapid walk-in repair services for mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

In response to the obvious need in the market for a reliable and specialized destination for customers who are searching for assistance with their technological devices, the idea for iSmash was conceived.

Julian saw that the market was entirely under-served, although smartphones and other personal gadgets were becoming more vital to our day-to-day existence, via his personal experience with his smartphone, which occurred while he was attending university.

In addition to being selected by Samsung as an Authorized Service Partner, Google as an Authorized Service Provider, and Apple as an Independent Repair Provider, iSmash is a company that specializes in the repair of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

Friendly technicians who specialize in repairing technology can cure the most frequent gadget malfunctions in less than half an hour. Screen replacements, camera repairs, fresh battery replacements, liquid damage remedies, logic board replacements, and data recovery are some of the services that fall under this category.

To acquire a new battery, I bought an iPad. After a hurried and incompetent repair, I came back to find the screen scratched and sticky residue all over the frame. As stated in the fine print, they require the usage of a passcode for exams and disclaim all liability if one is not provided. For what reason does replacing a battery require a password? Have no idea. Watch out for such things.

My interaction with the store and its employees was excellent, and they treated customers with professionalism. But the screen wasn’t working, and I couldn’t get my phone to connect. They replaced the screen quickly and expertly. However, the screen is broken, and I am unable to use my phone. I have to go back to the store and buy a new screen as a result. Great people, however I’m becoming less confident in the product.

The woman—I couldn’t recall her name—was excellent! After resolving the issue, she was courteous and even installed a free screen cover on my phone. My phone was fixed in less than half the time that was originally estimated. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I heartily endorse it!

My money is in ISmash, and it also has my iPad. Even though I’ve been told multiple times that the batteries will be sent the same day, getting it seems difficult. I’m always being inundated with platitudes, promises, and even lies. It was initially estimated that five hours would be required to replace the battery. It has been 12 days so far and counting. It is best to avoid dealing with this organization.

I went to inquire about repairs at the Kings Road store. When I asked why the gentleman at the counter said he couldn’t help me, he was unhelpful and said I’ve already told you, Madam, as if I was being fussy, but I wasn’t. I simply didn’t know why they couldn’t assist. He suggested that I visit a different store. It was very distressing because I couldn’t access my phone and had to rely on expert advice and one-on-one help. I had a professional experience today, but I’ve seen some positive reviews, so maybe I just wasn’t fortunate enough.

It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at the dog store. When I went to change the battery on my phone, I found that the screen was shattered. I tried to inform the staff that I shouldn’t deal with them, but they ignored me.

I had a horrible experience with ismash. They need to work a lot on their customer service and I believe until they don’t do anything about it, they will keep losing more business.

Around 10:30 am, I gave Ismash a call. By 11 am, the person I spoke with had finished my repair. Because to his assistance, my phone was fixed by midday, and I was able to go back home. Outstanding assistance.

At about 11:00 am, I gave them a call to ask about getting a new MacBook battery. They said I could pick it up at noon and get the batteries by 3 pm because they had them on hand at King’s Road. By the time they called to let me know it was ready for pickup, I was running out of time to get back to Clapham. Great support from the customer.

Excellent in-store assistance. The new screen is excellent. Along with the screen protection, I also bought a new battery. Although not significantly different, screen protectors can have an impact on the sensitivity when typing around the edges, which is visible when entering characters like z and m. Since using this replacement battery, I have not noticed any changes. Maybe the phones lose their charge when (Keynes) gets older? Perhaps. If it weren’t for the screen protector and maybe the new batteries, I would return to the retailer.

Ismash was not as wonderful to me as I had thought when I wrote my first review. They did get in touch with me after three emails and multiple calls, and my phone was successfully fixed the second time and given back to me in six days. I’m satisfied that it’s operating well right now! Again, Ismash, thank you!

I had to change my iPhone battery because I was experiencing issues with it. I looked on Smash to find the best deal, and I did. They were able to see me right away after I made an appointment. It took about an hour to fix. My phone was just a little damaged, even though it was damaged. They have issued me a refund and accepted responsibility. I’m happy with the result, and my phone is in fantastic shape considering its recent state. I’m grateful.

After my phone’s screen went black, I used a screen protector to replace it at Pixel 4A. When I toss it on the couch three months later, it’s back to black—clearly a poor substitute. When you bring it into the store to get a warranty claim, the guy notices a small fracture in the screen right away. He continues by saying that physical harm voids the warranty. The man stared at me as if I was crazy for bringing it up, and he showed me absolutely no compassion. I also threw it on the sofa, and it broke. It appears that they installed cheap replacements in the mistaken belief that they would break quickly and that the warranty would not need to be paid for. Tell me how the full e-screen going black is related to a tiny fracture that isn’t felt. And for even lesser grounds, the man behind me was turned down. Why not provide a genuine, naturally occurring 6-month warranty? Trash.

The staff of Westfield Shepherd is excellent and pleasant. My son’s cell phone was fixed by a different provider a few months ago. It found out that they had taken his phone’s original parts out of it and caused the damage that needed to be fixed. The employees at iSmash are competent and trustworthy. They did grant some additional time, but it will be replaced sooner rather than later. This is something I wholeheartedly recommend!

My smartphone’s charging dock was fixed. The phone was fixed as soon as I received it back, but the SIM card I was using didn’t work (no internet or connection). When I brought my phone back to the person who fixed it, the employee informed me that there would be no refund and that I would need to keep the phone with the company for five days in case I needed it to be fixed.

He said that because of them, the SIM slot on the card was harmed. It took him a few minutes to become impolite and say there was no way to get in touch with his supervisor. When I came back in the morning, a different staff member had adjusted something in my settings, and everything was working great.

I bought my insurance and phone from iSmash, which is the repair shop I have selected for Backmarket. My phone was sent to iSmash for repair, but it took them six days to contact me even after I paid the additional cost. This means I have to give them a call right away to discuss the fix. They do not, however, answer my inquiries and the number they provide is inoperative. I don’t suggest them because thus far their service has been awful.

I paid for the iPad screen to be fixed. We are aware that changing an iPad’s screen leads to more serious issues. (Apple has just notified us that they will repair your iPad’s screen if there are problems!) Apple is apologizing for not offering a refund because the iPad is broken. My financial institution has required us to file a complaint! Disregard for detail, fabrications, and dishonesty! AVOID GOING HERE.

I took the screen off my iPad so it could be fixed. It took all weekend to complete the short repair. The home button was broken, as I found out when I took off the plastic label after getting home. The next day I had to come back, and they had it fixed within an hour. The equipment sustained damage again a few days later. Ipad is still functional. The home button is absent, though. This service is lacking in quality.

After breaking my phone’s screen yesterday, I was able to schedule an appointment for this morning thanks to the easy-to-use online booking system. But as soon as I got home, my phone’s internet started acting strangely, and then it became slow! I spent PS140 for it, so it was a little disappointing, even if it appeared to be in decent condition in the store. It isn’t fun, but I could still go to the shop to get it looked at.

After hearing the news, my phone’s screen hasn’t worked well at all. I can’t stop the screen from ringing people while I’m on the phone since it is sensitive and constantly goes mute. It isn’t working as well as it should, and I am not happy with the original broken screen.

When I opened my smartphone, I saw that the screen had green streaks and was dark. The fact that the expert behind the desk could quickly identify that the phone needed a screen upgrade, provide a price and make the purchase impressed me at first. I could acquire a replacement phone for merely a PS20, he told me. The phone stopped working after about a week, but the screen never showed up. I called a week later. Although the display was fixed, the test software was either not able to be used or was stored away due to damage. They promised to fix the screen, give the phone back, and not charge me anything after thirty minutes.

My latest experience with iSmash was quite disappointing as I had to send my phone in for a battery repair. My phone’s screen was seriously damaged as a result of the poor service.

First off, the technician changed the battery without first checking the screen. My phone’s screen was accidentally damaged during the process as a result of my carelessness. Rather than accepting accountability when I brought this issue to their attention, the iSmash personnel openly accused me of lying about the pre-existing damage.

The staff’s accusatory tone and inability to accept responsibility for their error were quite unprofessional. I was dissatisfied and unhappy with the service as a whole. It is depressing to witness a business that is hesitant to accept accountability and acknowledge culpability for the harm done while in its care.

I urge caution to anyone thinking about using iSmash for gadget repairs. I suggest carefully recording the state of your phone with pictures and videos before giving it to them if you choose to employ their services. This preventive action is necessary since iSmash appears to be willing to accept no liability for any harm they may create.
